Matthew 22:34-40 ESV
34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

I.DEFINING DISCIPLE
A.Discipleship is about following Jesus. Discipling is about deliberately helping others follow Jesus.
B.Everyone is a disciple.
C.Everyone is a discipler.

II.DISCIPLES OF JESUS
A.To be a disciple of Jesus is to be a follower of Jesus because we trust Jesus.
B.All true Christians are also disciples.
C.There is no door number 3 or middle way.

III.FAITH MEANS FOLLOWING
A.The invitation of Jesus is not just to believe in Him but to believe in Him and follow after Him.
B.We always do what we believe.

IV.KNOWING JESUS
A.A disciple of Jesus knows Jesus as God.
B.A disciple of Jesus also knows who they are in Jesus.
